Working with ambassadors Polar Explorer Eric Larsen and mountaineering legend Ueli Steck, MSR has designed the next generation of all-season tents for 2017. The new tents span the scope of winter activities and provide protection, comfort and convenience, whether tackling remote first ascents, undertaking multi-day ski or snowboard missions in the backcountry, or setting out to conquer mountaineering classics.
Access Backcountry Series
Lighter than mountaineering tents and providing more protection and warmth than backpacking tents, the Access Backcountry Series of one, two and three-person tents provides a high-level of livability in a lightweight package designed for skiers, split-boarders and anyone else travelling long distances in winter conditions. It is engineered with an easy-to-assemble frame design and durable fabrics that stand strong in cold, snowy and windy conditions. A large vestibule protects gear, freeing up more space on the inside.
Remote Mountaineering Series
The Remote two- and three-person tents were built with livability and weather protection in mind, protecting mountaineers in extreme conditions. Atypical for lightweight mountaineering tents, the central support frame stands up to extremely high winds and pressure from snow loading.
Part of the Pro Mountaineering Series, the Advance Pro 2 tent supports first ascents and multi-day summit approaches. Its convenient setup system and small footprint differentiate the Advance Pro 2 from other tents of its kind. One person can set up the entire tent without taking a single step. The Advance Pro 2 comes with Easton Syclone Poles, made with a flexible, nearly indestructible advanced composite material used exclusively on MSR four-season tents.
H.U.B. & H.U.B. Gear Shed
The High-Altitude Utility Basecamp (H.U.B.) shelter is engineered to serve expedition teams in extreme winter conditions. With room enough for 10 people, two large entrance doors with removable panels for ventilation, clear windows for checking weather, and large pockets for storage, the H.U.B. serves as the ultimate basecamp house for professionals.
MSR will be at the OutDoor show Hall/Stand No. A3-403
