Coleman strengthens UK team

Outdoor specialist Coleman has announced a number of new appointments across both its sales and marketing teams. These latest appointments follow a merger of the UK’s business with that of Benelux and Nordic. The whole region is now under the leadership of Andrew Noble who was appointed commercial director of the UK, Benelux and Nordic in August 2015.

Noble boasts a wealth of outdoor industry experience and has worked for the market-leading company for over 20 years. Since his new appointment, the UK business has met all financial targets as well as significantly growing sales in the company’s strategic focus categories : Gas and Burning appliances, Tents & Shelters, Electric Lighting and BBQs. The launch of Coleman’s , BatteryLock technology and new Campingaz Barbecue range has been a key part of this success.

In addition to its core outdoor market, the Coleman Company has expanded its range of garden and DIY products for 2016 making these areas a key focus. To support the business’ expanding product range, Coleman has promoted Rob Gaffney to national sales manager for the DIY and Home markets and appointed Bob Meacham as national account manager. Bob will grow the organisation’s garden and barbecue channels and brings with him a wealth of experience gained at Solus, Scotts and Interpet.

The Outdoor sales team has also been bolstered with new talent. Duncan Holme joined the company in September 2015 as national account manager and brings with him 10 years’ Outdoor market experience working with companies such as Lifemarque, Svendsen Sport and Wolverine Europe.

Samantha Dow was appointed national field sales manager at the end of 2015 and is primarily responsible for supporting the field sales team in growing the company’s core independent retail base as well as developing new sales channels. Sam gained extensive and relevant sales and people management experience while working at Calor, RAC and most recently Karcher UK.

As well as strengthening the sales team, Coleman has appointed Georgina Sattler as senior marketing manager. Sattler joins the Coleman UK team following five years working in the central team including two years as brand and communication manager EMEA. Able to share her extensive company knowledge, together with trade marketing manager, Andy Marshall, Sattler will be responsible for all UK marketing activity including retailer support, point of sale, PR and advertising.
