Fjallraven has announced it will be one of the major sponsors of this year’s Keswick Mountain Festival which takes place at the end of May. One of the industry’s leading consumer events, the festival attracts thousands of outdoor enthusiasts each year with its combination of outdoor sporting opportunities, talks and entertainment. This year, Fjallraven has come onboard to sponsor the festival’s new walking event, The Keswick 3 Peak Challenge with Fjallraven, an 18-mile walk that goes over Cat Bells, Walla Crag and Latrigg.
Fjallraven is committed to the outdoors being for everyone so as well as sponsoring this tough new walk, Fjallraven will support a number of other events during the weekend. It’s brand ambassador, Alan Hinkes OBE, will be in attendance during the festival and delivers an evening talk on the Friday. Fjallraven has linked up with the Alhambra cinema to give festival-goers another chance to see ‘Edie’, an independent British film that premiered last year and was supported by the brand. Fjallraven and Keswick Mountain Festival have also collaborated with The Alhambra to host Edie’s producer, Mark Stothert, for an exclusive Q&A after the film.
Fjallraven will also incorporate its presence at the festival into its current nationwide waxing tour. During the weekend, members of the UK team will be based in the festival village where they’ll be delivering waxing demos, offering consumers the chance to get their own G-1000 gear professionally waxed for free and demonstrating the many benefits of Fjallraven’s legendary G-1000 fabric.
Ralph White, Fjallraven’s Managing Director in the UK and Ireland, commented: “We’re really delighted to be teaming up with the Keswick Mountain Festival this year. It is great to support the Keswick 3 Peak Challenge with Fjallraven as well as our great retail stockists in and around Keswick and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone out in the Lakes in May. It is an added bonus that we’re able to tie in our presence in Keswick with a number of other current consumer ideas like Fjallraven’s nationwide tour of waxing events”.
