Gerber celebrates 75th anniversary

Gerber will celebrate its’ 75th anniversary in 2014

To commemorate the milestone, Gerber will introduce a number of new products that reflect the brand’s heritage. Included is the 39 Series, two new knives that combine style with today’s modern materials and technology.

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1939 by advertising magnate Joseph Gerber, the brand was built on the backs of attempts to innovate, a commitment to quality and the spirit of adventure.

“We’re incredibly honoured to celebrate our 75th anniversary and eternally grateful to the countless individuals and partners who have helped contribute to our success over the years,” said Tom Genereux, Gerber’s interim president. “At the same time we are redoubling efforts in Gerber’s guiding principles of innovation, quality and reliability that will continue to drive the brand for the next 75 years.”

As from the beginning, Gerber produces gear in its Portland, Oregon facility. Products extend across a myriad of categories including outdoor, hunting, tactical, survival and industrial lines, each designed to provide solutions to the unique problems faced by the end consumer.
