Gore gets GoLite going

Performance fabrics to feature in flagship garments for FW11

GoLite has said the re-introduction of Gore-Tex fabric to its premium garments has allowed it to develop three fully featured items for men and women as part of its FW11 collection.

This includes the Ashdown Pro Shell three-layer jacket, which uses Pro Shell three-layer fabric with a membrane bonded to a tough outer material and a robust inner lining; the Currant Mountain jacket, which features lightweight Paclite fabric in a two-layer combination; and the Borrego Windstopper Softshell jacket, which sees Gore Windstopper fabric introduced to the GoLite range for the first time.

GoLite international general manager Mark Flanagan said: “GoLite has always had a policy of offering a range of premium performance outdoor products with prime considerations of function and performance combined with light weight.

“The Gore-Tex brand is widely associated with quality and performance and its re-introduction reflects our philosophy of using the best proprietary lightweight fabrics in garment construction. Gore’s new range of lightweight performance fabrics has allowed us to develop three different fully featured top quality garments for men and women.”
