GP’s powerbank picked over competitors’ for its performance and safety credentials
World leading manufacturer of primary and rechargeable batteries, GP Batteries has teamed up with leading outdoor apparel brand Regatta Great Outdoors, to bring powerbank heated waterproof jackets to the high street this autumn.
The stylish women’s Voltera Heated Jacket and men’s Volter Shield Heated Jacket (both SRP £240) are available with GP’s rechargeable M-Series powerbank that operates two heated chest panels and one heated back panel for over six hours of continuous heat output.
With just a touch of a button the jackets heat up to keep the wearer warm – as well as dry – letting them enjoy the outdoors for longer this winter. There are three levels of heat available (with safety cut off), which lets users choose their ide al temperature depending on their activity – all the wearer needs to do is plug it in!
Furthermore, GP’s M-Series is able to power two devices at once, meaning wearers of the jackets can heat their jacket and charge their phone or other devices at the same time.
The world’s largest rechargeable battery manufacturer, GP Batteries entered the UK outdoor market in 2017, exhibiting at the Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) with its range of professional use handheld torches. The brand later introduced a line of head torches and top of the range powerbanks at OTS 2018, which resulted in the collaboration with Regatta and them running a trial of GP’s range of products in some of its stores.
By choosing GP Regatta is able to offer its customers a well-known global portable power technology brand that offers the highest standards in safety and performance.
GP’s M-Series is one of the safest lithium powerbanks available and, following rigorous testing – with no adjustments needed, won out against other powerbank brands by meeting the many strict safety standards for use with clothing. There are six different safety precautions built-into the M-Series including; over charge and discharge protection, over voltage protection, over current protection, short circuit protection, over and under temperature protection and loop back protection.
Marketing Manager for GP Batteries UK James Tuck, says: “GP is committed to the outdoors and to eco-friendly rechargeable technology in order to reduce environmental waste. Our powerbanks encourage the use of rechargeable energy and teaming up with Regatta provides us with a great platform to push the message of using rechargeable tech and demonstrate the winning performance of our product.
“Regatta sits well with the GP brand as it offers affordable technical products for the everyday outdoor enthusiast, which can be used anywhere. We are really excited about this joint venture and look forward to a continuing a strong partnership.”
