Innovation award for 2 Thumb

Putter grip company 2 Thumb Grip Limited has been selected from a national competition to find the most innovative sports goods concepts throughout the UK. 2 Thumb’s recognition by The Gatsby Innovation Awards will see the company receive specialist support and independent validation from the UK’s leading specialist sport technology laboratories at Loughborough University. PGA Coach Philip Howard Gazeley, who designed the 2 Thumb Putter Grip, will work with internationally respected researchers in Loughborough University’s Sports Technology Institute, a £15M initiative to enhance research, innovation and enterprise in the sport and leisure sector.
“I am delighted to support this novel concept in a sport with global reach,” says Institute Director Professor Mike Caine. “We look forward to working with Philip to provide in-depth technical information to further strengthen 2 Thumb Putter Grip’s marketing claims.”
The awards are funded by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation in partnership with Loughborough University Sports Technology Institute. A second call for applications opens later this summer.
