Klean Kanteen has launched a range of new accessories and bottles to demonstrate its continued leadership around projects, organisations and support of policies that tackle coffee cup waste and marine litter.
Kendal based distributor Whitby & Co. introduced Klean Kanteen to the UK market in 2013 and since then, it has become synonymous with high-quality, durable stainless steel bottles and food canisters.
Klean’s new products include the new Vacuum Insulated Reflect which keeps its contents cold for 24 hours or iced for 40 hours – ideal for coffee retailers who want to encourage customers to opt for reusables when purchasing their favourite iced drink for the summer months ahead.
Also new for the 2017 Klean range is a collection of 4-pack reusable, stainless steel straws, a Straw Lid for coffee and smoothies on the go, and Brush Set. Each 4-pack set includes a Straw Brush made of 18/8 stainless steel and natural palm fibre for easy cleaning. According to One Green Planet ¹, we produce 300 million tons of plastic globally, 78% of this not recycled and 8.8 million tons ends up in our oceans – which mostly includes plastics straws. Klean Kanteen’s new products help tackle issues by continuing to provide retailers and their customers with reusable alternatives.
Garry Woodhouse, sales and marketing director at Whitby & Co, said: “The new products are a great addition to the Klean Kanteen range, they support campaigns that are global issues at the minute.
“It’s really important to our team to reduce our coffee cup and plastic waste where possible, and make it easy and fun to #BringYourOwn. We want to do our part and promote reusables where possible – with Klean Design™ baked in, they perform better than single-use alternatives and are designed to last a lifetime.”
This video from The Leatherback Trust ( *Please note some viewers may find the video to be extremely disturbing to watch) shows the serve impact of plastic items such as straws that are making their way to our oceans.*
Garry added: “The team and I have taken part in beach clean-ups working with UK-based Surfers Against Sewage, but now retailers have the opportunity to tackle the problem and provide their customers with reusable alternatives.”
