Outdoor distributor to intro US portable solar power systems to UK market
Mountain Boot Company (MBC) is to start distributing the Goal Zero range of portable solar power systems into the UK with immediate effect.
MBC said Goal Zero is an innovator of portable solar power systems that power a variety of USB, AC and DC devices, ‘anywhere and at anytime’, with the range of solar panels, power packs and accessories designed to work in conjunction with each other to provide numerous power options.
Goal Zero has a projected sales figure of $20m for 2011 despite only launching last year in its home market of the US, which MBC said had shown it ‘the potential for the brand within the current economic and environmental climate’ by allowing ‘retailers to open a new product category which will encourage sales through their existing and new customer bases’.
MBC managing director Steve Roberts said: “We are very pleased to have forged a new relationship with Goal Zero and to be bringing such an innovative product to the UK market.
“With everyone now continually carrying phones, cameras and GPS units the need to have power everywhere is now more prominent than ever before which is where Goal Zero comes in. This brand has great potential in the UK and can be a fabulous addition to any retail portfolio.
“We will also be offering retailers accompanying interactive PoS units and driving traffic into store through an extensive marketing and PR campaign. We are looking to the future with Goal Zero.”
