Both TaylorMade and Nike have brought out new balls. The new TP Black is aimed at the lower spin player. It has a 10% softer feel than its predecessor, with a threepiece construction and multi-layer cast urethane cover. A 360 Low Drag Performance (LDP) dimple pattern is designed for improved distance on off-centre hits.
The four-piece TP Red is for the higher spin player. It has the same dimple pattern and is 10% softer than the Black. RRP £40 doz.
Nike’s distinctive Karma, complete with 50% recycled packaging, is their softest ball yet at only 50 compression. The ball is designed to complement low swing speeds, compressing at impact even when not hit hard. A new 312 dimple design delivers a high trajectory.
