TaylorMade claim their new adjustable r7 CGB MAX Limited driver will offer 1071 separate launch conditions – from one box.
The new component-based driver comes in a presentation pack which effectively puts TaylorMade’s Movable Weight and SelectFit Technologies into one club. The box includes:
- A new titanium clubhead
- Nine MWT weights from one to 16 grams, offering 357 CG locations
- Three tour-proven shafts selected for different performance: Fujikura® Rombax® (75 grams), Mitsubishi® Diamana® White Board (65 grams) and Matrix Ozik XCon (55 grams).
- A red torque wrench that delivers 40 inch-pounds of torque and is used to modify interchangeable shafts and Movable Weight cartridges.
TaylorMade call the pack a ‘Tour Van in a Box’.
“Because different shafts promote different launch conditions, TaylorMade SelectFit Technology gives golfers the power to customise the driver and optimise the character of their shots by changing shafts,” says Sean Toulon, TaylorMade’s Executive Vice President of Innovation and Product Creation. “When you combine that with the shot-changing influence of TaylorMade’s Movable Weight Technology, you’ll find that the r7 CGB MAX Limited gives you more control over the shape and trajectory of your shots than any other driver.”
The r7 CGB MAX Limited driver will be available at TaylorMade’s retail partners in April and has a recommended retail price of £649 or e999.
