Following the success of the 2019 event, the organisers of the Outdoor Trade Show (OTS)are pleased to announce that the 2020 show will take place from Tuesday 7th July to Thursday 9th July. The show will follow the week after OutDoor by ISPO (28th June – 1st July 2020).
OTS will be hosted, once again, at EventCity, Manchester, before you pick up any news in the media, we wanted to let you know as soon as possible about some developments that we have been made aware of which affect EventCity. We have been advised that Peel Holdings, which own the venue, will be closing EventCity on its present site, leasing it to a developer and moving to a brand-new location within the Trafford Park complex – the current site of the Soccer Dome (on the other side of the Chill Factore, indoor ski slope) which is being completely re-developed to offer a bespoke state of the art exhibition complex and is due to be operational by September 2020.
The timing of the move was of obvious concern, but following a de-brief with EventCity’s operations team, it has been confirmed that OTS 2020 will be the very last exhibition to take place on the current site.
OTS 2019 was hailed a success by all, with 990 trade visitors attending the show over the three-day period, representing a 4% increase from 2018, an increase of 12% since the show moved to EventCity and reaffirms the decision to move to Manchester. Furthermore, the real highlight of the show is that OTS 2019 saw a 27% increase from retail buyers and owners compared to 2018.
This year also saw the highest number of exhibitors with 131attending the show. These included a complete mix of new and well-established brands, distributors, agencies and service providers, showcasing a range of products and services all dedicated to the outdoor industries.
