Gold Active Core Bug_Diagram_ENPrimaLoft Inc. recently announced the expansion of their active platform with the introduction of PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active, which provides breathable four-way stretch performance and warmth designed specifically for high-output adventures.

The new platforms proprietary construction enables excess heat and moisture to escape, keeping users comfortable and dry. In addition, product designers may use a wider variety of stretch shell, breathable outer and liner fabrics, resulting in more year-round choices for manufacturers, retailers and consumers.

“The addition of PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active to our roster of technologies is a natural progression in our innovation pipeline,” said Mike Joyce, president and CEO of PrimaLoft.

“This technology builds upon the success of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active, giving our brand partners more versatility in their designs meeting a growing consumer demand. Our job as the leading comfort solution company is not only to observe the trends in the market, but also, to be ahead of today’s trends – which are calling for lighter fabric and greater adaptability. With PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active, outdoor enthusiasts have more freedom of movement and will be comfortable, warm and dry during high-aerobic activities.”

Marc Fischer, Senior Director BU Outdoor Western Europe at adidas said: “Our terrex products with PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active are highly versatile and innovative products. With this new and performance-orientated solution from PrimaLoft, outdoor enthusiasts can engage in many different activities, to achieve a new personal best or to simply have a fun day in the mountains.”

A proprietary finish and manufacturing process locks tiny PrimaLoft fibers in place, preventing fibers from migrating through fabrics, allowing for use with more breathable, open weave and stretch materials.

PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active is bluesign certified and will debut at ISPO Show in Munich, PrimaLoft booth #A2-304.
