Regatta businesses grow despite difficult climate

Businesses see double-digit growth in first half, led by Dare 2b

Regatta Group’s three main businesses have all recorded sales growth during the first half of the year, with Dare 2b seeing a 75 per cent increase compared to the first six months of 2010.

In the first half of 2011, sales at Regatta was up 18 per cent, Craghoppers 13 per cent and Dare 2b 75 per cent over the first half of 2010.

Group chief executive Keith Black said growth had come despite a difficult start to the year and a slow, dry Easter period

Black said: “Our business is very weather dependent – we always feel it when it doesn’t rain. However the combination of heavily marketed brands, offering a wide product range, together with our excellent level of service continues to drive strong consumer demand.”
