The Snow+Rock Group has opened a major new store in the heart of Leeds. The 12,000 square foot tri-branded Snow+Rock, Runners Need and Cycle Surgery store was officially opened this week by Team GB athlete Laura Weightman and Snow+Rock chief operating officer Hamish Mansbridge. Located on three floors at 11 Albion Place, it is the company’s biggest retail outlet of its type in the UK, offering many of the world’s best outdoor and sports brands, backed up by expert knowledge and features such as ski boot fitting, a cycle workshop and a dedicated runners’ fit lab.
Snow+Rock is located on two floors of the new store. One floor is dedicated to outdoor customers and showcases an extensive selection of clothing, footwear and accessories from many renowned outdoor brands. The other floor caters for snow sports enthusiasts, with clothing and equipment for all winter activities. In addition, the same floor will house a full ski servicing workshop and a state-of-the-art custom boot-fitting zone, staffed by highly trained experts.
Elsewhere on the three floors, Cycle Surgery will sell products from the leading cycling brands, including clothing, accessories and a comprehensive collection of road, mountain and urban bikes. Leeds Cycle Surgery will also be equipped with a full cycling workshop, which will provide repairs, services and free safety checks. Runners Need will also operate in the new store, with all of the latest running products and the Fit Lab, ensuring that all customers are guided to choose the right shoes to suit their needs.
Richard Cotter, chief executive of the Snow+Rock Group, comments:
“This is the biggest Snow+Rock Group tri-brand store in the country and we’ve worked really hard to make sure that our customers will get the very best products and advice, whether they’re dedicated runners, cyclists or outdoor and winter sports enthusiasts.”
Tom Riordan, chief executive of Leeds City Council, adds:
“I’d like to welcome this latest addition to the burgeoning Leeds retail scene and especially the new jobs it will create. It will also help promote the important message of people leading active and healthy lifestyles, building on the inspiration provided by our successful hosting of the Tour de France Grand Départ this summer.”
