Whitby adds kid’s headlamp

Princeton Tec lighting product offers adult specification with child-friendly features

Distributor Whitby & Co has started supplying Princeton Tec’s BOT children’s headlamps to the UK outdoor market.

BOT headlamps come in four bright colours and have a large push button designed for small hands. The BOT operates using two bright LEDs offering three operating modes – high (15 lumens), low (5 lumens) and flash. The child-friendly design also includes a screw-locked battery compartment which prevents accidental access.

The Princeton Tec BOT, with an SRP of £16.95, is powered by two AAA Alkaline batteries and will run for approximately four hours in high mode and 9.5 hours in low mode.

Whitby & Co will be engaging in a comprehensive PR campaign to promote the launch of the new Princeton Tec BOT children’s headlamp to trade and consumers, backed by an advertising campaign in key consumer titles. Full marketing materials are also available.

Garry Woodhouse, sales and marketing director at Whitby & Co, said: “The BOT is small, sturdy and easy to use, yet incredibly powerful. It has the same level of ruggedness and reliability which consumers have come to expect from all Princeton Tec head torches.

“The BOT is a great addition to the Princeton Tec family and we’re sure it will be a big hit with young outdoor enthusiasts and campers. And as the nights draw in as we head into autumn, it will be perfect for walking home from school in those dark winter evenings.”
