New water-proof camera cases offer facility to take snaps at depths up to 5m
Water-proof case specialist Aquapac has unveiled five submersible camera cases that allow photos to be taken at depths up to five metres.
The cases, available in mini camera, small camera, mini camera with hard lens, large camera and SLR, have been tested by Imperial College, London to IPX8, meaning they will continue to work at a five-metre depth for one hour.
The cases use Aquapac’s unique Aquaclip fastening mechanism, which secures the cameras against water damage.
Cameras can be fully operated through the case, with access to all buttons and switches, plus an acrylic lens material on the mini camera with hard lens and SLR cases. Each case is supplied with a lanyard, or for the SLR case an adjustable shoulder strap and handy desiccant sachets are supplied to absorb any condensation in humid climates.
Prices range from £25 up to £95.
